Didn't expect to be so full after the meal I'd chosen, but was pleasantly surprised.
Traditional experiences.
Expensive! :)
lovely
Good food good service
My first Shabu Shabu, this was great, really tasted phenomenal! Staff speaks English and menu is available in English. They also show you what to do and how, which made this experience enjoyable!
Enjoyed sabu sabu here for dinner though we ended up spending over 150k yen for two people (expect to spend at least 5k per person without tax or drinks). It is worth adding on some of the best grade beef even if you decide not to go for the most expensive set dinner. We were seated in an area where you have to take off shoes and that was actually very relaxing after a full day of walking around. The service is also very pleasant, the waitresses are dressed in a traditional style and very polite.
The matzusaka beef sukiyaki was to die for. Heavenly. Price to be expected for this grade of premium Japanese beef. Loved it.
Good service. Good food. Lovely.
Excellent beef, becareful when cooking it as it melts away in the pot and in your mouth! A little on the pricier end but totally worth it. If the matsutake mushroom is available, get it! The mushroom dashi served from it is just perfect!
Ordinary
Quality at this price - unbeatable!
If you ever want wanted to try the real experience of eating shabu shabu then you need to eat at this place ( in English called Sagami) in Shinjuku Tokyo. It is on the 13th floor of the Shinjuku train station building. A beautiful restaurant and the did to die for. We ordered the shabu shabu set menu that included some very interesting appetizers then some amazing sashimi and then finally the shabu shabu. I have eaten sukiyaki and shabu shabu before but nothing like this. This was a real pleasure. Yes pricey but it is Tokyo. If you are on the hunt for this type of eating experience and want the real thing then go here.
The place me and my wife would come everytime visiting Tokyo.
The best Sukiyaki in Tokyo!! Must try!!
The servers here are very friendly, and can speak little english. There are no English menus, but the server tried to explain best as she can. We ordered the sukiyaki and puffer fish sashimi. It came with side dishes and dessert ice cream as well. Our server explained how to cook and eat sukiyaki and set up the sukiyaki pot for us. The meat tasted excellent and the veggies were fresh. We were given our second side dish, rice, and noodles when we were basically finished with our sukiyaki which was a little disappointing. The sashimi tasted great!!
My favourite shabu shabu chain in Japan. Lunch set is reasonably priced too.
Best shabu ever
Beef and grilled seafood are outstaning. A little bit expensive but worth it.
Very delicious but pricey. Good place to bring foreign friends to kind of feel the Japanese food culture and mood. Almost always good choice if you love meat.
Food is good but service is bad. We started dinner in 09:00pm, but waitress try to force us finishing in half hour but the restaurant close at 10:00pm. It’s not a good experience.
I tried the blowfish shabu shabu. The texture was a mixture of chicken and frog. They also serve beef. The quality of the beef is one of the best I have in Tokyo. If you are nearby, stop by this place. Even better, book before you go as it is always full during meal times.
Very lovely restaurant for traditional local Japanese meal!
great food, great service and they can speak english (but not well) but still, Imahan is my #1 for shabu and sukiyaki
High quality food just fit the price; however, the service is not exactly satisfied us. We came into restaurant on 20:50. Waitress came and help us to handle sukiyaki proactively just after the order, even we haven’t start our appetizers. They used the fastest speed to finish our sukiyaki, and our dinner was forced finished within 40 mins on around 21:40.Actually, we can’t really enjoy the food because we feel very hurry during the whole dinner time, thus the experience was not really good.
Great Shabu Shabu!
Excellent restaurant with great service
Good food at good location
The food is alright but the taste is not so called excellent. Compare with the price and a bit over
Amazing food and amazing service. The top Japanese first rate service we know in town.
Good service and quality food. Serving is big for my family of 4. Friendly service staff with limited speaking English, but they able to understand some English. Reservation is essential. Additional 10% surcharge for private dining room. Recommended!!
Great Shabu Shabu, but a little bit pricey. Spent about 17 000 here for dinner for two persons. If you take a Shabu Shabu set, don't order additional meet before you go through a half of your meal. It's quite big! And they will serve you additional noodles after you finish with the main plate of vegetables and meat.
Food was delicious and the place was beautiful! Obviously we had no idea how it worked and the staff was very helpful and assisted us all through dinner. They paired us with a waitress that spoke some english and she was incredibly patient.Only con is that there was a LOT of food. Price did make sense in relation to that, a bit less in both aspects would be great (we paid about 55$ CAN per person).Tourist feedback about the service being poor because they dont speak english is an outrage, dont go to japan if you're gonna get mad they dont speak english.... just sayin'
Very nice
Excellent Sabu Sabu, sukiyaki !!Great Services and dining environment!
My preferred Kisoji store to visit for Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu. This particular Kisoji has great ambience and a warm welcoming decor for your dining experience.I have visited countless times for both lunch and dinner, both are just as good. Lunch is great value for money while dinner is excellent for hosting family and friends. For business meetings, I recommend Kisoji Yoga store instead as they have private enclosed rooms.Reservations are an absolute must especially for dinner, they are always busy with long wait times without reservations. Staff does understand a limited amount of English (speak slowly and clearly). Menu is heavily visualized making orders relatively simple.Restaurant has non smoking and smoking sections which are not contained, certain areas of the non smoking section unfortunately does mean you will potentially breathe 2nd hand smoke.
Food was great but service need to be improved. We had 6 pple that day with only one pot, and they didn’t explain menu very well, they suggested us to order 2sets sukiyaki for 6 pple but it wasn’t enough so we ordered extra meal and the money we spent almost equal to 6 sets sukiyaki..... and we still felt hungry after we left.... I’m sorry to say we didn’t have good time here
Perfect!
Nothing is in English but that doesn't really matter. Very traditional service that makes you feel like an aristocrat.
Excelent place for shabu shabu
Good food 4/5Good service 4/5Nice interior 4/5Has English menu Convenient location
just so so
Perfect place for very good Japanese dishes, affordable for lunch
Food was so-so and priced pretty steep. ~5000-6000yen per pax for 120g of entry level beef. I guess you pay for the service and ambience. Quiet and comfortable
Very authentic sukiyaki. Nice place, but no view.
I've been here during my first trip to Tokyo. It's not on the cheap side but the food is really delicious. We had Suki-yaki and Shabu-shabu. I can really recommend it. The ambient ist also very nice.
"Water boiled beef"First of all I'm a huge fan of Chinese hot pot. I love the flavor in the broth and the sesames sauce.I'm really disappointed at the meal I had here, it's just a pot of boiling water, meat, a few vegetables and bland sauce.I'll give them that the beef does have a nice marble of fat to it. But it's hard to enjoy it as a whole.
A great place for Nabe or sukiyaki! Especially if you are treating guest. They have a variety of course with reasonable price and great quality meat and serve. I’ve been to kisoji multiple times. The shinjuku one is also very nice and many servers speak English, so it’s great for foreigners.
A hidden gem. Perfect if you want to try Shabu shabu. We ordered the Matsusaka wagyu, recommend!
Unique experience eating blowfish and wagyo meet. Service is impeccable.
